Yes, it is true! Forced-air systems recirculate superheated air to the living space that constantly cools and drops toward the floor, where it is returned for reheating to the furnace. This constant process of air movement does not exist in radiant systems because radiant heat is absorbed by the surroundings and radiated throughout the living space.
